Something that makes our program different from other similar child sponsorship programs is that we will directly link a sponsor family or families to a particular child. The family will be able to follow and support all the way through Secondary school and even into university! It’s our desire that lifelong relationships would be formed through our program.

Child Sponsorship Program

The Munno Sponsorship program was created to serve the most desperate and underprivileged children in the community we currently serve. Recently we have noticed a severe decline in the number of children who are able to attend the local schools due to lack of funds or who drop out before completing primary school. These children would never be able to receive the benefit of continuous education and yet that, through our program, are showing the desire to want to better themselves and become responsible, strong citizens ready to give back to their communities. Since January 2020, OneSun Foundation has had a Child Sponsorship Program. With the help of our Munno Coordinator, Hakim, who works closely with the local families, we currently have 20 children who, without the support of a sponsor family, would not be able to receive the education they deserve. Our sponsorship programs provide everything the children need for their schooling including uniforms, yet we leave room for the parents to still maintain responsibilty for their children’s supplies and care. It also provides for basic medical needs that might arise. Through this program, we are able to help provide hope and a future to children who had little before.
